Main goal of the Forum:

-to provide an international meeting place for the foremost representatives of the Russian and world business communities, scientists and government agencies to discuss modernisation and investment development of the Russian economy

Main tasks of the Forum:

-to pool the efforts of business, science and government representatives to promote major investment projects and modernise the Russian economy by exploring new economic ideas;

- to form a development strategy for the Russian Federation;

- to increase Russia's investment appeal and strengthen its foreign trade positions;

- to promote integration of Russian enterprises into the global economy;

- to develop the financial system in the Russian Federation;

- to contribute to the spread of innovation technologies in the context of the global economy;

- to promote the tourist and leisure industry in the Russian Federation;

- to provide an international site for presenting investment projects by Russian region;

- to discuss public-private partnership mechanisms for implementing investment projects in Russia;

- to discuss participation by Russian and foreign companies in investment projects in preparation for the Olympics;

- to provide a major forum for presenting key investment projects proposed for the Russian Federation.

Forum participants:

Representatives of federal legislative and executive authorities, executive authorities of the Russian regions, Russian and foreign business and scientific circles, diplomatic and trade missions, and the media

Total exhibition area will be in excess of 30,000 sq m

The Forum will feature:

1.     An exhibition of the Ministry for Economic Development and Trade of the RF, including projects of the RF Investment Fund and special economic zones.

Registration and accreditation of Forum participants is provided by the Krasnodar Territory Chamber of Commerce and industry.

At the Forum Registration Stand, participants will be registered and issued information folders in accordance with international standards.

Business programme:

The business programme includes:

-         two plenary sessions;

-         conferences, presentations, round tables;

-         opening of exhibitions;

-         presentation of the investment potential of Russian regions and Krasnodar Territory municipalities;

-         presentation of Sochi as host to the Olympics;

-         meeting of the investment commission to select projects eligible for support from the RF Investment Fund,

-         signing of contracts,

-         business communication areas,

-         consultations, master classes, business seminars, and training workshops involving major companies.

Artistic design:

We envisage a comprehensive design, using cutting-edge technologies and materials, for the exhibition pavilions and buildings that will house the Forum’s business programme. Common design elements of the exhibition stands will ensure stylistic harmony.

Cultural programme:

-         Opening of Sochi-2008 Forum by the Co-Chairmen of the Forum,

-         gala concert,

-         sporting and cultural programme

-         reception on behalf of the Co-Chairmen of the Forum Organising Committee,

-         evening cultural programme for the Forum participants on 18-20 September,

-         reception on behalf of A.N.Tkachev, Governor of the Krasnodar Territory, for the participants in the Sochi-2008 Forum, 20 September,
