FOR THE ATTENTION OF PRESS PUBLICATIONS

In accordance with the plan for preparations for the VIII Sochi 2009 International Investment Forum a list of the press – the Information Partners of the Forum - is being drawn up. In connection with the fact that the Sochi forum has international status the position of Information Partner or Major Information Partner is offered exclusively to influential Russian and foreign mass media at national or international level, distributed not only within Russia but outside of its borders.

The right to distribute publications on the territory of the Forum is the most valued and attractive option for the press confirmed by contracts and offered only to Information Partners. At the same time, in order to avoid inconvenience to participants at the Forum, the zone for distributing publications is limited to just two points (the Registration Pavilion and the Press Centre), and the number of copies of a publication is also limited (for an Information Partner up to 300 copies, and for a Major Information Partner up to 1000 copies). In addition, given that the Forum is not a platform for press advertising activity, the format of the publications presented is defined as informational, with no possibility of distributing commercial proposals or special issues.

These rules, confirmed by the Organising Committee of the Forum and being accepted as good practice worldwide for events of international scale, do not allow for the presence on the Forum territory of newspapers, magazines and advertising publications of regional or city level, or for federal and foreign publications which are not Information Partners of the Forum. Unauthorised distribution of any publication on the territory of the Forum will result in confiscation and disposal of all copies discovered.

In connection with the fact that 50 regions in the Russian Federation and 30 foreign countries have made notification of their participation in the Forum, there will be no exceptions for regional or foreign press. The list of publications which have the right to distribution at the Forum is limited to 15 Information Partners and 5 Major Information Partners.
