Greetings, today is Tuesday, 21 of May 2013 Русский    English

In 2013 the Bolshoy Ice Dome in the coastal cluster in the Imeritin Valley of the city of Sochi will become the venue for the XII Sochi International Investment Forum.

For information:

The Bolshoy Ice Dome is part of the International Ice Hockey Federation complex which includes the Bolshoy Ice Dome and the Shaiba Arena to host ice hockey competitions and a training rink. All the facilities are close to each other, ensuring maximum convenience for competitors and visitors to the Games.

The 12 000 place Bolshoy Ice Dome facility is a single building covered by a hemispherical dome. The inspiration for the arena concept design was a frozen water drop. The dominant colour of the dome is silver.

After the Games the Bolshoy Ice Dome will be a super-modern world class multi-functional sporting and entertainment facility.

The Ice Dome’s name emphasises the particular qualities of this sporting facility. Bolshoy will be one of the largest Olympic facilities to host competitions for the popular types of sporting events. At the same time the word ‘bolshoy’, which is understood and recognised in many countries and nations, has strong associations with Russia - the Bolshoy Theatre, the traditions of the Russian school of ballet, figure skating, ice hockey and other achievements by the largest country in the world.
